1. In open RPs, all discussions on who can join and can’t should be handled through PM. It’s just messy looking through threads that have a whole bunch of negotiations but NO plot for several posts. The Shadow Realm is for Role Play, not “Can I, Can’t I” conversation. PM is private, tidy, and leaves your thread for the important stuff: the story.
Attention: These next few are on the basis that the Circle is for SERIOUS ROLE-PLAY. Sorry but consider WHAT you write and to progress in your, well, expression. This is in no way meant to be oppressive.
2. USE SPELLCHECK. Misspelled words take away from the RP as a whole, especially those who seem to misspell as if breathing. It happens. Take the time out to type your posts out in Word or some other program that has a spell check. It might seem silly but it makes all of the differences. We’re not going to fine those who misspell a few words. However, if the majority of your post shows NO effort for the concept of spelling you will be notified and if it continues, banned.
3. No one-liners. There are days when you’re typing, typing, typing and you find you typed hardly anything at all. We sympathize with you in this one. However, we want to see posts that are at least a paragraph+ in length, and to do away with one liners. A lack of something to say is no excuse to just put a sentence down. Like spelling, one or two “short” mini-paragraphs is okay. Having the whole RP as one continuous one-liner does not show true consideration to the possible story. It takes forever for anything to happen and doesn’t impose that “seriousness” we have going on. If you want mini-RPs, please go to The Coffee Break where that’s acceptable.
4. Close finished RPs. There are a lot of similarly named threads here and it is hard to keep track of every single story. We request that for everyone's convenience that you CLOSE your threads when done so we know. Put a note to say that you are finished in the last post.
